His career has led him to become an expert in facilitating the access of Latin American companies to the U.S. market, advising them in the correct preparation of documentation, labeling and obtaining the necessary identifiers such as the DUNS number and the UFI.
A few years ago, Carlos decided to broaden his horizons and moved to Miami, Florida, where he founded Fast Forward, a firm dedicated to simplifying the registration and compliance process for exporting to the United States. Under his leadership, Fast Forward has grown and has offices in the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala and Spain, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the field of regulatory consulting and business internationalization. Its comprehensive and proactive approach has enabled numerous companies to overcome bureaucratic barriers and take advantage of new opportunities in the North American market.
Carlos, lawyer and regulatory expert, explains in the interview the importance of FDA registration for Latin American companies to be able to export their products to the United States. During the "cafecito empresarial", he details how the FDA, when regulating food, drugs, cosmetics and other products, requires that companies comply with specific requirements in documentation, labeling and obtaining identifiers such as DUNS. He also emphasizes that the registration process usually takes between 7 and 12 business days, varying according to the product sector, and that it is essential to comply with these guidelines to avoid the retention or destruction of goods at customs.
Carlos also stresses the importance of having specialized advice to carry out the registration process correctly, eliminating the fear and doubts that many entrepreneurs face. He explains that, once the registration is obtained, it must be renewed annually in December, and that Fast Forward, his company, accompanies clients throughout the process, offering support to make adjustments without incurring additional costs.
